Our area of focus this month – Greenwich
Greenwich located in South London, has always been a sought after area for movers! Known for its history and maritime heritage, Greenwich is home to monuments such as The Cutty Sark, The Royal Observatory, Old Royal Naval College and Greenwich University.
In our opinion Greenwich is one of the best areas in South London for Transport links, having the DLR for links to The City and Canary Wharf. North Greenwich tube is on the Jubilee line for links to the West End and East London, as well as trains into Central London and Kent. Greenwich is linked by the A2 and the Blackwall Tunnel, making the area super accessible!
The centre of Greenwich is a hub for cool coffee shops, bars, restaurants and river side pubs making the area an attractive choice for young professionals and students. Our top Greenwich picks are:
Greenwich Grind; located on Nelson Road, whether it’s for take away coffee or brunch with the girls, this place will become your second home! The food is good, the coffee is perfect and the décor is fit for 100 Instagram worthy pics!
The Cutty Sark Pub; sits at the top of the banks of The Thames at Ballast Quay. A proper English pub with insane views making it a popular choice all year round! I can guarantee you’llgo here once and become a regular!
Greenwich is favoured for its period architecture of larger Victorian houses and cottage lined streets, which tend to be the go-to choice for families. Not only this of course, but with many Ofsted rated “Outstanding” and “Good” schools and a HUGE park (Royal Greenwich Park) always within walking distance, it really is a perfect family location. Not to mention, in the Greenwich Peninsular, you have the O2 which always has on an array of events, an endless list of restaurants and a Cinema! There is always something in Greenwich to keep the kids occupied… Or even YOURSELF!
This month we are also excited to show you that we have teamed up with SE10 Magazine to advertise in their April edition. The SE10 Magazine is a local magazine that is delivered to 5,000 homes in the Greenwich Borough. The guys as SE10 Mag are great and have been lovely to work alongside. We will look forward to advertising with them more in the future! To businesses in South London and the Greenwich Borough, I would highly recommend the SE10 Magazine if you are looking to get your services out there!
And that concludes Elmore’s of London Area Guide Vol. 2!
If you have a property to rent out in Greenwich, please get in touch! Or even if you are looking to move to the area we can help you as well!
